my resolutions on day 12 of 2010

so here’s what i want to do (better) in 2010. and i fully intend to come back to this post early in 2011 and confront myself with what i’ve done and what i haven’t (completely?) and why. usually not a big fan of resolutions but this has GOT to be done.

* figure out what I want and go for it!
* manage finances better and pay off rest of my debt by the end of the year (at the latest!). 1)
* do more photography (again) + take a class.
* get healthy.
* learn spanish (again and for real this time).
* travel more. lots of small trips and maybe one (or two?) bigger ones. 2)
* be more creative again.
* host and have friends over more.
* end 2010 happy. i just wanna be happy again.

i will update you to how things are going with this frequently. i even started a new category :)

very likely to be continued… what are your resolutions/plans for the big 2010 ???

midnight 1.1.2010 in germany :) from puttytat on Vimeo.

1) already sat down and geeked out a budget in excel – should be manageable.
2) two trips are already planned for feb (heidelberg or dresden) & march (salzburg and regensburg)

You know what’s funny? I was having the same thought about Spanish just yesterday. I took a class last year and being back in the States, it seems as if Spanish is more and more important.

Good luck with your goals! …and I am so jealous you are going on all these trips. We wanted to go somewhere this weekend but Collin has an exam every week on Monday, so guess what he is doing on the weekends… right… studying!

Good for you, sweetie. The first step in the right direction always is to have a plan and you know I’ll be here cheering for you :) (If you need kicks in the butt, I can definitely do that as well).

If you want to host and have friends over more often… I’ll volunteer *g*

P.S. I don’t know if it’s intended, but your “tags/categories” are only visible when you click on the “comment” link. Just wanted to let you know.

Those plans sound good. If you do come to HD, maybe we can meet up. Just let me know if you’d be interested.

Now that you got that far, you’re on a good way on your first and consequently also last point! Many of your resolutions sound like so much fun to keep – so everything should be really doable! You go girl!

stef – “my family” in MN is half-spanish and i took a class when i was there in 97/98 but never really learned a lot. which seems so stupid now because living in that bi-lingual family for a year obviously was the best opportunity *sigh* i’m still mad at myself for not sticking to it more but at the time, other things seemed more important i guess ;) i still love the language though (hearing it and all) and absolutely wanna do it this year. i might start out with one or two online-classes to get the basics down again before i pay the big $$ for group-classes.

san – first of all: you KNOW you’re ALWAYS welcome to become a “victim” of my hosting abilities ;) and re your ps: i knew that about the categories. but there’s always the “category cloud” in the sidebar as well ;)

karen – if we do i’ll let you know. right now it looks like dresden but nothing’s for sure yet…

antje – well, you know you’re definitely part of the “travel more” resolution :)

hi sweets, sorry I have not been here for a while. But your resolutions sound great. Specially the one about being happy! That is one of mine too. Not so easy, huh? I will keep my fingers crossed that everything will work out! Big hugs!
