the most lovely surprise mail from a sweet friend <3 she sent me sharpies (i love sharpies and you can't get them in germany :)) and a beautiful swallow pendant i've been wearing on a long necklace almost every day since i got it.
a sweet little something i got for myself last week: i upgraded to an iphone 4s. i did some research for my boss who wanted one (and an ipad) and that way found out how great the features were and that it wasn’t as expensive as i had thought. i got a great deal from my provider and i couldn’t say no. i have not regret that decision once. while i loved my samsung galaxy s, this baby is a whole different story and i’m in love (with a gadget, i know. so what, sue me ;))
my sister’s cheesecake. i swear it’s the best cheesecake i have ever had in my life. ever.
friendship. i kinda combined #9 and #27 of the list and sent a “just because” card to my two best friends telling them how much their friendship means to me and how much i love them. one of them even lives in the same city and i so i don’t think i’ve ever sent her a letter before… both of them were really surprised and moved and that makes me happy :)
this star garland tutorial. such a great idea – will definitely make it some time!
skype (and new: face time). i love (!) to see san for our weekend chats. it’s so much nicer than “just” talking on the phone. last friday a(n old) friend from MN called me on facetime. we met during my aupair time 97/98 and spent quite a bit of time together that year. i haven’t seen him since C and my visit in 2002 so it was great talking to him “face to face” again. we’ll definitely do it again.

Lovely post! i, too, love sharpies, brought a whole bunch of them back to germany with me! surprise mail is the best ever! i am in love with me white iphone as well, how did we manage without…haha

Oh, this garland is super-cute! I want to make one of those, too. plus, I just love stars :)
i actually love all the things that you love (i love my iphone… are you surprised ? ha!) and i love skyping with you… let’s do it soon again! :) this weekend?
