creative link-love

i’m not gonna tell you again just how much i love (!) my new sewing machine because i’m sure you can’t hear it anymore…. what i’m gonna do is cut to the chase and share with you some of my new found link love and how/where i find inspiration.

first of all: dawanda and etsy. i love to just surf around those sites, look at (sewn) goodies, bookmark them and get inspired. i could spend days doing just that and find myself in awe at how truly creative people out there are. that is actually how i got the idea for the sockenmollis* .

another great source for inspiration is pinterest. it has addiction-potential and is another site that collides with my daytime job because i could spend hours (!) just looking around, re-pinning and finding amazing new sites through it. let me know if you would like an invite and start pinning.

and finally some of my favorite sites for inspiration and tutorials. there’s just not enough time in the day *sigh*

* make it and love it :: amazing tutorials. i especially love the re-purposing ones. last night i turned a sweater into a purse and love how it turned out. it’s not completely done but when it is, i will certainly share. the tutorials are so easy with tons of pictures and i can’t wait to try more…

ETA: it’s done and i’m lovin’ it!

i used to be a sweater :)

* noodlehead. again, with the great tutorials. i’m totally making this next.

* the crafty cupboard. ehh, cute overload with the monster baby toy. <3

* a lemon squeezy home. more cool tutorials with lots of pictures = great for beginners like myself. seriously, i need more hours in the day (or a part-time-job) in order to do all the stuff in wanna try.

* little miss momma. not just sewing but a whole bunch of cute DIY ideas. love.

* mamas kram. cute DIY and sewing ideas. in german.

now, enjoy being creative and if you like to share, i’d love to check out your favorite inspirational links.

* btw, i did ask permission to use the monsters i found as inspiration and make some similar to them to sell in germany and got the okay :) because it sucks to steal. period.

  1. I love this post. Looooove.
When I find some time (hopefully in the near future, sigh) I am going to check out all the sites that you recommended.
Right now, I am just stretched way too thin.

P.S. The sweater-purse is really cute! LOVE the color.

  2. I am not much into crafts (although I do do some knitting)…

But I love me some cooking blogs: Smitten Kitchen and Gluten Free Girl are favourites!

  3. Cute purse…can’t believe it’s a sweater!?

I’m so in love with Pinterest too and I agree, there’s never enough hours in the day to browse these amazing websites & actually live life at the same time.
