{posted on October 24th, 2010 in love my shot}finally got our pumpkin (which has been sitting outside our apartment door as decoration for weeks) in and carved it last night.

i cooked the pumpkin meat last night, let it cool off and made dough this morning. now the whole place smells like fresh pumpkin bread while it’s stormy and rainy outside. kinda love fall like this (if i don’t have to leave the house ;)) happy sunday everyone and boo! :)

Ah, would like to curve a Pumpkin too but have never done it. Can I use a normal knife???

@Steffi: of course i’ll send you the recipe :) i just use two different kinds of kitchen knifes. one a bit bigger and a small one for the details (ein obstmesser). it’s important that you scrape a lot of the meat out to make the “walls” kinda thin (maybe 2-3 cm) because that’ll make the carving much easier. i use a tablespoon and a “eiskugeldingens” to scrape and it works pretty good.

I still don’t know if we’ll carve pumpkins this year or not…
