SPF "through the eyes of a child"

SPF

the task: [...]If you do NOT have a child…you lucky bastards; Get down on your stomach or knees, about the height of child or baby and see what you see from there point of view.

the work-in-process:

colleague: “are you okay?”
me: “uhu …”
colleague: “then why are you on the floor at the bottom of the stairs?”
me: “because KRISTINE SAID SO, okay?”
colleague: “uhuuu… ?”

the result:

stairs at work

this is at work. jup. i know! the office i work at is FAR from neon-lights and cubicles and grey carpet… we’re located in a cute old bremen house with high ceilings, hardwood floors and tons of art and pretty wooden furniture. it doesn’t get too hot in the summer and just has a great atmosphere about it. these are the stairs from the main floor down to the terrace and backyard. we have a huge table there and usually this is where we spend our lunch-breaks [and will certainly BBQ and watch one or two soccer games during the euro-cup together...] during the summer which is especially nice when my boss gets our the hammock and the deck chairs :) i’m pretty lucky and i know it. which is why i should get back to work now and wrap some things up before i take off for the weekend.

happy SPF and did you play? xoxoxo

SPF "me in music"

SPF

the task: (SELF or SOMEONE) YOU IN MUSIC (playing an instrument, dancing, getting ready for a dance getting into music..whatever)

the result:

our song

this was taken @ maren & tim’s wedding in october 2006 and we’re singing a custom 80ies medley for the bride & groom. i’m the second one from the left, in case you haven’t found me already ;)

since the first couple in our group got married – in may 2005 – it’s become a tradition for us to write the lyrics to and re-arrange a song that somehow has to do with or just fits the couple and then perform it for them during the reception. it’s always tons of fun, starting with coming up with lyrics [usually about how they met, habits, typical things about them etc] to thinking about a “choreography” [and there IS a reason i'm putting the word in quotation marks...]. plus, we have to do all those things somehow overcoming the distance of at least three cities all over germany with some people living in nuernberg, some in duesseldorf… so there is a lot of emailing word-documents with lyrics, videos with “choreography” and singing onto answering machines during that process – usually ending with a first [and only] rehearsal in the lobby of a hotel or someone’s backyard/apartment. it’s always tons of fun and usually ends with teary-eyed newlyweds [and guests] and photos like the one above :)

so much for me [and/or others] in music. now, did you play?

SPF "mp3 player"

SPF i know it’s saturday already but c’mon, the weather has just been too nice to get online. and better late then never, right?

my music on the go :)

this was my biggest “souvenir” i got on our trip to cali last november. i went with the 4GB ipod nano and even with [almost] all the music on it that i own, and some of C’s, it’s still not full… you can also put videos on it, which is not very useful [because the screen is tiny] but kinda fun. i like my cute little toy :)

sooo, did you play?

SPF "song"

SPF this week kristine wanted to see a picture to a song. so this is what i came up with after looking through my itunes…

family portrait

family portrait – PINK

this was my [maternal] grandpa’s 80th birthday. 1981. you can actually see part of the 80-cake on the table. my cousin’s boyfriend at the time [who is probably taking the picture] was a pastry cook so he made it and i remember it being a huge thing back then… left to right: my dad [in the back] and my cousin [in front of him]. then my grandma, my sister on my grandpa’s lap, me on my mom’s lap and my brother. :) so, did you play?

PS.: as you see, i made a new SPF button. if you like it, feel free to grab it, save it and use it. just please don’t direct-link to the image on my server. thank you. ;)

SPF "towels"

SPF "towels"

our big towels are kinda boring [and not very pretty] so i decided to go with the guest towels instead. why towels? well because kristine asked for towels and kristine gets what she asks for – every friday anyways ;)

not much more going on. it’s friday after a loooong week. also, friday before a short week [yay!]. no real plans for the weekend [yet] and i’m honestly looking forward to that after the last two [busy] weekends away. hopefully the weather will actually stay nice [which i will believe when i see it] so i can go out and explore with my new toy. if so, be ready for more pictures ;) either way, happy friday and have a good weekend.

PS: did you play? let me know so i can check it out ;)
